The Ministries of First Baptist Church on Fifth

Spiritual Growth

The First Baptist Church on Fifth family of faith strives to help others understand and develop a growing connection with God through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. The purpose of our spiritual formation is to encourage and guide persons toward a transforming relationship with Christ through spiritual disciplines of worship, prayer, bible study and more. Spiritual transformation is the process of becoming more like Christ for the sake of others.

Senior Adults

The Senior Adults of First Baptist Church on Fifth have many opportunities for spiritual, emotional and social growth. We offer a variety of Bible Study options, trips, luncheons and opportunities to study and learn about topics that are of particular concern to older adults, including end of life issues and coping with grief.

Children, Infants through 5th Grade

We value children at First Baptist. We love their questions, challenging and critical thinking, creativity and their useful gifts in our congregation. Our Childrens' Ministry offers more than programs and activities as we seek to provide safe, caring and nuturing experiences for children of all ages. As we consider children, the issues they face, and the realities they must conquer,  we believe it is our responsibilbity to encourage them. And, to offer them the building blocks that form and inform our faith, as we partner with parents in guiding their families in following Chirst.

The Arts

Because God is our creator, and our creation in God's image makes us creative beings as well, our endeavors in the arts are an important reflection of our relationship to God. The Arts Ministry encourages the development of our artistic gifts and the use of those gifts in worship, discipleship, evangelism and service. We invite you to express and deepen your relationship with God through music, drama, vusual art, film and dance.
