Lenten Devotional Discussion with David Williamson
Beginning February 26, each Sunday at 9:45am in Lent
A discussion group led by David Williamson, Minister of Worship and the Arts, will meet to discuss the scriptures and devotionals from the adult guide "Portraits of Christ". "Celebrate Our City" Tour with the Prymetimers
Friday, February 17, 9:00am-4:00pm
During the month of Valentines, President's Day and Black History Month, "Celebrate Our City" with a tour of local sites. Travel by church bus, departing from First Baptist Church on Fifth at 9:00am, and visit museums and have lunch. The cost is $15 and includes transportation, fares and lunch. Senior Adult Travel to Roanoke, Virgina
Friday, March 2 - Saturday, March 3
Go with the Prymetimers to Roanoke, VA and stay overnight at the Hotel Roanoke. Includes visits to the new Taubman Museum of Transportation, the Virginia Museum of Transportation and the O. Winston Link Museum. Dine at Carlos Brazilian Restaurant and have brunch at the Roanoke Hotel. The trip departs by motor coach Friday, March 2 at 8:30am and returns Saturday, March 3 around 4:15. Cost is $100 per person, double room. A deposit of $25 is due January 29, with final payment due February 20. Lenten Discussion Group
Each Sunday During Lent, 9:45am
A Lenten Discussion Group led by David Williamson, Minister of Worship and the Arts, will meet in the Music Suite at 9:45 each Sunday in Lent (beginning February 26) to discuss the scriptures and devotionals from the 2012 Lenten Devotional Guide, "Portraits of Christ" by Andrew Weyermann. Copies of the devotional guide will be available at the Church Office and Welcome Center Desk beginning Sunday, February 12.
